Taiwan BronyCon Safety & Community Guidelines

All attendees, creators, and staff members are expected to follow these guidelines to ensure a safe, friendly, and respectful environment for everyone.

Taiwan BronyCon Code of Conduct

Welcome to Taiwan BronyCon! To ensure that all attendees, creators, volunteers, and staff can enjoy the event in a safe, friendly, respectful, and inclusive environment, please follow our Code of Conduct.

1. Core Spirit

  • Friendship is Magic: We expect every attendee to interact with fellow fans with kindness, enthusiasm, and mutual respect.
  • Inclusivity & Respect: Regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, appearance, race, or religion, TWBC strictly prohibits any form of discrimination or bullying.

2. Venue Guidelines

A. Mutual Respect & Social Etiquette

  • Please maintain politeness and harmony during the event. Any form of harassment, verbal abuse, or inappropriate behavior is strictly prohibited.
  • No Means Stop: If someone expresses discomfort or explicitly declines an interaction, please stop immediately.

B. Safety, Evacuation & Environment

  • No Smoking Policy: Smoking (including e-cigarettes and vapes) is strictly prohibited throughout the entire venue building (including restrooms and stairwells). If you need to smoke, please proceed to the designated outdoor area on the 1st floor.
  • Clear Evacuation Routes: To ensure safety and emergency evacuation routes, please do not linger or place belongings in hallways, stairwell entrances, or emergency exits. Keep these areas completely clear.
  • Legal Compliance & Property Preservation: Please refrain from theft, damaging venue property, or any illegal activities during the event.

C. Venue Equipment & Usage Restrictions

  • Please care for all venue facilities. Food and beverages are strictly prohibited on the central wooden floor.
  • Using any difficult-to-clean or staining materials on the wooden floor is strictly forbidden (e.g., adhesive tape, floor decals, paint, vomit, pets, real flower petals, party poppers, ribbons, cream, shaving foam, dry ice, colored cornstarch, etc.).
  • Wires and power cables are located underneath the front stage; using liquids of any kind above them is strictly prohibited.

D. Personal Belongings & Lost and Found

  • Please keep your personal belongings secure at all times. The organizers assume no responsibility for lost or damaged items.
  • Please inspect your belongings before leaving the venue. If you find lost items, please hand them over to staff members.

E. Cosplay & Photography Guidelines

  • Cosplayers are welcome to showcase their creativity! Costumes must be safe and provide appropriate coverage, avoiding overly revealing or offensive designs.
  • Prop weapons must comply with venue safety standards. Items with actual lethal force, sharp edges, or projectile/firing mechanisms are strictly forbidden.
  • Before taking photos or videos of others (especially cosplayers or booth creators), always ask for their consent first. Commercial photography or live streaming is prohibited without prior authorization.

3. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly forbidden. Violators will face warnings, revocation of admission without refund, or referral to law enforcement:

  1. Harassment & Bullying: Including verbal abuse, physical harassment, stalking, or unwanted physical contact.
  2. Property & Environmental Damage: Littering, damaging venue facilities, or posting unauthorized posters/flyers.
  3. Hazardous Items: Bringing illegal substances, controlled drugs, flammable/explosive materials, or real weapons into the venue.
  4. Unauthorized Sales: Commercial sales or aggressive promotion by unregistered individuals are strictly prohibited.

4. Reporting & Enforcement

  • If you feel uncomfortable or notice any unusual situations inside or outside the venue, please immediately report to staff members wearing gray name badges, and we will handle it promptly.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to issue verbal warnings, escort individuals off the premises without refund, or contact law enforcement depending on the severity of the situation.
